If
you love flowers and want a great selection of the healthiest plants in
the Pacific Northwest, this is the place. Whether you're an experienced
gardener with a beautiful collection of unusual plants, a beginner timidly
learning the basics, or someone who just wants your yard to look nice,
we think you'll find a visit to Egan Gardens worthwhile.
We welcome you to visit Egan Gardens in person. We're open
March through mid-October. We're easy to find. See our Map
& Directions Page. See our Calendar page
for a list of our activities.
Spring
is starting early this year, and were happily preparing for it.
Our annual Grand Reopening celebration starts Friday March 5th and runs
through Sunday March 7th. We have the greenhouses full of flowers, including
the pansies you get free with your coupon. (click
here to download) You can enter your name in the drawing for a free
hanging basket or planter, watch your children or grandchildren plant
their own flower into a pot to take home and grow, munch on cookies, cider
and coffee, look through the Spring Cleaning Bargain Table, take a tour
of the nurserys growing operation with Ellen and soak up the colors
and fragrance of all the flowers.
Even though were having unusually mild weather so far, it still
pays to be cautious in our choices about planting. Some plants can take
the cool conditions of early spring, others will grow much better if planted
in the warmth of late spring. For a list of What to Plant When, turn to
the Timely Topics page.
We have a whole new schedule of classes and workshops - check out the
Calendar page and see if some of them look
interesting. We always welcome suggestions for topics, so please let us
know what youd like to learn more about.
