Welcome to Egan Gardens, and Good-bye!

After 41 years I am ready to retire and get some much-needed rest. The nursery is being purchased by John and Kylee Pedersen, who will carry it on as Pedersens Nursery. They’ll be doing their own choice of plants and seasons, and it won’t be quite like we’ve done it at Egan’s. But I’m sure they’ll do a good job, and change is a basic part of life. I know that I changed this nursery in many ways in the years I’ve been here. The Pedersens are already accomplished growers of hanging baskets, and they’ve been working out of the greenhouses at Willow Lake, where Kylee is part of the family. So those of you who have been missing Willow Lake Nursery since they changed to being a wedding venue can in a way have a bit of that nice place come back again.
Please come and visit them in the spring and see what they’re growing.

Good-bye,
Ellen
