June is Perennial Gardening Month, as designated by those of us in the
Perennial Plant Association, a nationwide group of perennial growers and
garden designers. Come out to Egan Gardens and explore our field full
of perennials. They will be on sale20% off from June 5th - 11th.

Planting Hanging Baskets for Summer
Learn to make heat-tolerant, all-season blooming baskets and planters.
It's a hands-on workshop where you get to take your own creation home
at the end. Cost is just for the materials you use. Please call 503-393-2131

Greenroof Garden Structures
Greenroofs are in vogue as environmentally useful run-off reducers
and carbon-consumers in large urban settings. In the home garden they're
really pretty.
Vance Blaisdell, a skilled craftsman and most excellent gardener, will
explain how to build a structure, and select and plant appropriate plants
to make your own small-sized greenroof structure.

Vance takes the stage again, this time to talk about one of his
favorite plants, the Gunnera, a.k.a. Dinosaur Food, and explain how
to grow these beautiful, giant perennials.
